Mirror-polished tool made of 420B martensitic stainless steel; for evenly spreading leather adhesive and contact cement.
Features
- Small 25 × 122 mm; large 40 × 128 mm. Natural stainless-steel color; a construction resistant to corrosion and wear.
- The smooth polished surface is designed to reduce glue sticking; wipe clean after use. Source standard marking: QB/T 2174-2024.
- In the image, the small and large spreaders are shown either as 1 piece each, or together as a 2-piece set. Dimensional tolerance is 1–2 mm; the edges are rounded and deburred, and there is a hanging hole at the handle end.
- Applications shown in the image include card making, paper, wood, and fabric work, shaping leather card-pocket edges, and smoothing burnishing gum.
- Daily care: wipe clean with a soft damp cloth and dry. Remove dried glue with a rubber eraser or soften it with water; do not scrape with a metal tool. Light scratches are treated with a soft cloth and polishing paste. Minor marks remaining from polishing are stated not to affect use.
