COLOURLOCK

History

Lederzentrum holds a central place in COLOURLOCK's corporate history. This German company was founded in 1995. It specializes in leather cleaners, repair and care products. Products are marketed under the COLOURLOCK name. Koch-Chemie's acquisition announcement links the brand's original origin to New Zealand. Therefore, Lederzentrum's founding year should not be presented as the brand's year of origin.

On 19 October 2023, Lederzentrum became part of Koch-Chemie GmbH. Prior to the acquisition, the company was owned by Matthias Beuck and Lars Pickhardt. A separate transition phase is planned for the integration. As the new owner, Koch-Chemie has been consolidating products and technical expertise. The parent company itself belongs to the Novarc group. As a result, COLOURLOCK is now linked to a broader surface-care business.

Since October 2024, operations have been consolidated at the Koch-Chemie site in Unna. The official announcement describes products being developed, manufactured and shipped there. A color-mixing unit has also been set up for custom color orders. THE FINISHER's site currently presents the COLOURLOCK range. Products are used on car seats, furniture, bags, footwear and clothing. The range covers cleaning, color renewal, protection and surface repair. Separate products are chosen for different operations.
