ELECTROLUX PROFESSIONAL

SE · 1962 · Stockholm

Established in 1962 as Electrolux's professional equipment division and listed on Nasdaq Stockholm as an independent public company in 2020, Electrolux Professional manufactures professional kitchen, beverage and laundry equipment; its products are sold in over 110 countries, and it has approximately 4 300 employees.

History

Electrolux Professional's roots trace back over 100 years to earlier companies such as Wascator, Zanussi and Cecilware, which were later acquired by Electrolux. Professional direction within the group began forming in 1962 with the acquisition of Elektro Helios, and expansion into industrial laundry systems took place in the early 1970s.

In 1989 a unified "professional" business division was created within the Electrolux group, covering kitchen, laundry, refrigeration and cleaning. In 1999 an operations center for kitchen and laundry product lines was set up in Pordenone, Italy. In 2004–2005 operations began in North America, a manufacturing facility for the Asia-Pacific market opened in Thailand, and commercial representative offices were established in India, Brazil and Dubai.

Between 2015 and 2024 a series of acquisitions took place: Veetsan of Shanghai (dishwashers, 2015), Grindmaster-Cecilware (beverage equipment, USA, 2017), SPM (frozen beverages, Italy, 2018), Schneidereit (laundry leasing, Germany/Austria, 2018), Unic (espresso machines, France, 2019) and Unified Brands (kitchen equipment, USA, 2021). In 2020 the company fully separated from the Electrolux group and was listed as an independent public company on Nasdaq Stockholm.

In 2022, the operating model was restructured and the corporate brand was named "Electrolux Professional Group". In 2024, Japan's TOSEI Corporation (laundry/vacuum equipment) and France's Adventys (induction cooking) were acquired; by year-end, the group's global sales had reached 12,5 billion SEK and its workforce approximately 4 300 employees.
