BÜFA

History

BÜFA was founded in Oldenburg in 1883. Ludwig Friedrich Carl Büsing and Friedrich Ludwig Fasch established a trading company. Its initial range included dyewoods, chemicals and oils. The names Büsing and Fasch formed the basis of the later BÜFA name. Over time, the business developed manufacturing operations alongside chemical product sales.

The group's history sometimes presents development stages over broad year ranges. During 1986–2004, a cleaning-systems plant and the Hude distribution center were commissioned. Involvement in the Dutch company ViVoChem also began during this period. In 2006, this company was fully acquired. During 2011–2013, the holding adopted the name BÜFA GmbH & Co. KG. Structural changes were also made across the cleaning and composites businesses.

In 2014, Tricura fully joined the group. The current structure consists of the Chemicals, Cleaning and Composites divisions. Textile-cleaning products belong to the Cleaning division within this structure. Therefore it is not correct to equate the chemical raw-materials site with the entire laundry range. The Cleaning division covers cleaning, care and disinfection of textiles and surfaces. The group's official contact list shows this facility in Oldenburg. Different divisions' production and sales addresses differ from one another.
