PONY

History

PONY's operations began in 1958 under the name Fratelli Fumagalli. The first products were small steam generators combined with a hand iron. In 1962, placing the steam generator into the ironing table created a new direction. In 1963, the Senior steam iron was introduced. In 1964, the Vaporetta table was added to the range. These milestones show the transition from small steam units to broader ironing equipment.

In 1967, an automatic pressing machine for jackets and coats was developed. In 1969, coat and trouser dummies (formers) were added. In 1972, presses were included in the product line. In 1973, a new center and showroom opened at Villa Fornaci. In 1981, production moved to a new site in Inzago. In later products, steam, suction and air-blowing functions were combined in various configurations.

In 1996 the MG-396 dummy for automatic shirt ironing was introduced. In 1998 the MG-398, specially adapted for shirts, was developed. In 2003 Angelo Fumagalli became the sole owner of the company. In 2007 the shirt service was complemented with a manual folding unit. In 2010 the ANGEL shirt dummy was introduced. The current product portfolio covers ironing, stain-removal and steam equipment. The official site lists the legal entity as PONY S.p.a.
