MIURA

History

MIURA's industrial roots trace back to a workshop opened in Matsuyama in 1927. The initial products were rice and barley processing machines. In 1959, Tamotsu Miura founded the joint-stock company MIURA SEISAKUSHO. In 1960, production of small once-through boilers began. Boiler technology later became the company's core direction. In 1971, production of boiler water treatment chemicals was also added.

In 1977, the MI system combining several boilers was launched. In 1978, the company adopted the name MIURA CO., LTD. International development covered Korea, Canada and other markets. Listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange began in 1984. Remote maintenance service was introduced in 1989. In 2017, the acquisition of the Inax Inamoto business expanded laundry operations.

In 2023, MIURA acquired a stake in JENSEN-GROUP. In 2024, Germany's CERTUSS and the US's Cleaver-Brooks businesses were acquired. These transactions increased the scale of international boiler operations. The 2025 report shows consolidated revenue of 251.3 billion yen. This figure applies to the entire MIURA group. Products include steam boilers, water-treatment systems and sterilizers. The company offers manufacturing, sales and technical service together. The Southeast Asia site represents the global group's regional operations.
