FIRBIMATIC

History

Firbimatic was founded in 1971 by Gino Biagi and partners. The first machines were built in a former cinema in Calderara di Reno. This location was near Bologna. Early development was based on solvent-based textile cleaning equipment. The official history describes 1970–1990 as a period of expansion in this field. The company's main operations were later concentrated at the Sala Bolognese address.

In the early 2000s the Metal Cleaning Division was established. This made industrial cleaning of metal parts a separate line of business. The official profile distinguishes standard and custom-built systems. Water-based and solvent-based units are made for various applications. The automotive, aerospace, medical and precision-mechanics fields are listed among the users. This division's machines perform technical tasks different from garment-cleaning equipment.
