History
In YAC's textile equipment history, a distinction is made between the group and the manufacturing company. The Y.A.C. group was founded in Akishima in May 1973. In June of that year, it entered the industrial packaging field. Early applications covered food and cleaning businesses. Garment packaging was later developed alongside finishing machines. This activity forms the technical roots of today's Y.A.C. Machinery business.
In 2001 the group acquired the industrial laundry business from Fuji Car companies. In 2006 Yoshimura Machinery was acquired and renamed YAC Niigata Machinery. The current legal entity Y.A.C. Machinery was established in October 2016. In 2017 the parent company moved to a holding structure. Thus, the group's original founding and the separate manufacturer's founding date are not the same. In October 2022, YAC Niigata Machinery merged with Y.A.C. Machinery. The surviving legal entity was Y.A.C. Machinery. Product lines cover garment finishing and packaging equipment.
