Features
- Length without needle 132 mm. 6 needles: 1 gold titanium-coated and 5 silver. The gold needle is 2 mm in diameter for thread up to 0.8 mm; the chrome needle is 1.5 mm in diameter. Both are thicker than a regular sewing needle and act like an awl; designed to be compatible with widely used machine needles.
- Creates a machine-like lock stitch; for regular/heavy leather, thick canvas, tarpaulin, sailcloth, fabric/cotton and books. The titanium needle resists breakage, and the ergonomic wooden handle adds comfort during long work sessions.
- A hidden bobbin sits at the end of the thread, giving, per the source, double the thread capacity; smooth rotation is meant to reduce changeover time. In the two-part construction, the needle and wrench are stored inside the handle.
- Smooth electrolytic coating for oxidation/rust resistance. Assembly: loosen the center screw with a screwdriver, insert the bobbin thread and tighten the screw; loosen the needle screw with the small wrench, insert and tighten the needle, then thread it through the needle eye.
- In the size photo, the tool without the needle is given as 138 mm long and 32 mm wide, while the main text and parameter image say 132 mm. The gold L needle is 45 mm, the chrome S needle 39 mm, the wrench 48 mm, and the cross-head screwdriver 45 mm long. The standard thread bobbin measures 20×12 mm; a separate colored-bobbin photo shows 20×10 mm.
- The standard set image shows 1 awl, 1 titanium-coated gold L needle and 5 chrome-coated S needles imported from Germany, 1 stainless steel wrench, 1 cross-head screwdriver, and 3 black/white/brown thread bobbins. The needle and assembly tools are stored in the handle's removable section.
- Add-on option images: standard set + 10 gold or 10 steel needles; standard set + 1 bobbin from each of 25 colors, or 1 bobbin from each of 12 colors, or 15 bobbins with 5 each of black/white/Caramel. Thread packs are shown in 0.35/0.45/0.55/0.65 mm diameters; there are also combinations that add 10 gold or 10 steel needles to the 15-bobbin pack. - The photo names for the 25-color box: White, Cream White, Khaki, Sun orange, Orange, Dark brown, Grey, Colorful, Red, Pink, Yellow, Wine red, Reddish brown, Emerald green, Macarone blue, Navy Blue, Peacock blue, Turquoise blue, Olive green, Violet, Forest green, Sky blue, Rose pink, Black, Mint Green. Another stitching sample shows the names Cream White, Ivory, Light Tan, Saddle Brown, Caramel, Sun Orange, Flame Orange, Ruby Red, Bamboo Green, Cerulean, Royal Blue, Midnight Blue and Black; these names don't fully match the box's 25 labels.
- The thread image shows a three-strand twisted construction; wax to reduce fraying, friction and break resistance, color retention in hot water, and end-melting with a flame are given as manufacturer features. A 960 g weight demonstration is shown, but this shouldn't be taken as a measured breaking load.
- Before stitching, it's recommended to open the hole with a diamond prong chisel or round punch. The source states the needle should not be used to pierce the leather directly: thick leather and incorrect force can damage the needle. For a wave stitch, align the needle head's direction with the hole and keep the same direction for every stitch.
- Usage photo: leave a sufficiently free end of thread, pass the needle through the first hole, pass the free thread through the loop that forms, pull one end while simultaneously withdrawing the needle; repeat the operation to complete the stitch.
