Leather edge beveler consisting of an M390 tool-steel blade, a black wood handle, and a brass ferrule.
Features
- Hardness HRC 60–62; for wear and corrosion resistance. A CNC-cut channel and a hand-polished edge are meant for a rounded, smooth-cut leather edge.
- A teardrop-shaped black wood handle is fitted for grip. After skiving the edge, applying Florenole or Edge Kote Pro and lightly rubbing is shown as the final smooth/glossy finish.
- Overall tool length 14.2 cm / 142 mm, metal section 6 cm / 60 mm. Teardrop-shaped black wood handle, brass collar and full mirror polish; a precisely controlled channel cut aims for a rounded edge.
- The illustrated sequence: skive the front/back edge, apply edge sealant to the surface without overflow, smooth with 200 grit; reapply the sealant and go through 800 and 1000 grit stages, then finish and polish back and forth with the edge stick.
- The size chart can show a 0.5–2 cm hand-measurement variance; the chart for fine blade selection is a nominal guide.
