Leather stitching tool made of high-speed steel with fully polished teeth and shank.
Features
- 1/2/4/6 teeth per pitch, overall length 98 mm. 3 mm pitch: tooth 6.5 mm long × 0.5 mm wide, recommended thread 0.35–0.55 mm. 4 mm: tooth 8.5×1.2 mm, thread 0.45–0.77 mm.
- Hold perpendicular to the leather; use a plastic/nylon mallet and soft mat instead of a heavy hammer. Don't apply excessive force to the tip, especially with 1/2-tooth tools. Oil and use a protective cover for storage.
- Minor rust/cut marks, and height/width variance in the handles from hand polishing are possible. Where very precise sizing is needed, the source separately recommends the WUTA French punch.
- The sample punch photo is shown on 2.4 mm vegetable-tanned leather; this is not presented as the tool's maximum thickness limit.
