Oval hole punch made of 420 martensitic stainless steel; features a long handle, heat treatment, fine polishing, a black anti-rust coating, and laser marking.
Features
- 25 sizes: 2×5/8/10/15/20/25; 3×5/8/10/15/20/25; 4×5/6/8/10/15/20/25; 5×6/8/16/20/22/25 mm.
- The inner taper helps scrap clear. Shown by the manufacturer for leather, straps, belts, gaskets, rubber, fabric, canvas, plastic, cardboard, thin metal and soft metal.
- Hold perpendicular to the leather and start lightly. Heads over 10 mm need more force due to a larger cutting area and thicker edges, sometimes needing 2–3 extra strikes.
- To sharpen, lightly draw the cutting edge back more than 10 times on 1000–2000 grit sandpaper, then polish with paste/strop.
- Hole size can differ from the nominal size depending on leather thickness. Don't strike onto hard rubber or wood; a thick cutting mat is recommended on a 4–5 cm-thick marble table.
- Minor surface marks and rust are possible; rust can be removed with sandpaper. Protect the sharp edge.
- Wipe off the protective oil before first use; lightly re-oil after use and store in a dry, ventilated place.
- Illustrated application chart: 2×5 and 3×5 mm for watch-strap buckle holes; 2×8/10 and 3×8/10 mm for where the buckle sits on a watch strap; 2×15/20/25 and 3×15/20/25 mm for a thin strap tongue. 4×5/6 mm for bag/belt strap tongue; 4×8/10 mm for Panerai and other wide-strap watch bands.
- 4×15/20/25 mm for Mini Kelly and Loewe-style bag/belt strap fitting; 5×6/8 mm for belt strap holes, 5×16 mm for Kelly-style bags, 5×20/22/25 mm for where a belt strap sits.
