Natural full-grain, undyed vegetable-tanned cowhide belly leather; a soft, flexible, stretchy, and easy-to-work section.

- 2–8 square feet per piece; thickness 3.5–4.0 mm / about 9–10 oz. Develops individual patina with use.
- For decorative tooling, practice, templates/prototypes, straps and small leather goods; a ready natural surface for custom dyeing/tooling.
- The cutting diagram shows the belly section taken from the sides of the whole hide. Natural pores are retained; the source describes the leather as elastic, oil-rich, easy to work at the edge and breathable. Offered for dyeing, carving, molding and practice work.
- The photo states a base thickness of 3.5–4 mm / 8.5–10 oz; the main text's 9–10 oz figure is kept separate. Free splitting is offered down to 1.0 mm and above. In the general back-surface comparison, an initial 1.8–2.6 mm and split 1/1.5/2 mm samples are shown; this general image does not replace the product's 3.5–4 mm base thickness. The unsplit back shows tooling/drying marks, while the split surface is described as more even.
- Pieces are irregularly shaped; width and length vary. The source calculates area at about 1 square foot = 900 cm², giving 6300 cm² for 7 square feet and 8100 cm² for 9 square feet as examples. The 9-square-foot figure is only a sample image and does not add a new option to the main text's 2–8 square-foot range.
- It can be shaped wet or dry, and hot- or cold-pressed. The photo states hot pressing above 70 degrees can create layered color changes, but does not specify the temperature unit.
- The patina photo shows a 1-month, 3-month and 3-year transition from a natural light color to honey and caramel tones; these are sample photos, not a guaranteed timeline.
- Pieces cut from a whole hide may have scars, loose-fiber areas, natural wrinkles, stains, small scratches, small holes and knife cuts. The photo separately shows six sample defects.
