Three-layer mat with a blade-resistant core, made of new, non-recycled high-density PVC.
Features
- A1 — 60×90 cm; A2 — 45×60; A3 — 45×30; A4 — 30×22; A5 — 22×15 cm. About 3 mm thick.
- Non-slip surface with cm/inch grid lines printed on both sides using imported German ink. The manufacturer states there may be error in the inch scale; use a separate measuring tool for precise measurement.
- For cutting/scoring paper, cardboard and craft materials with a rotary or straight blade, and for protecting the work table. Cut marks can largely heal within a few days if the surface isn't torn; the manufacturer claims blade life increases 4–5 times.
- A1/A2 mats are shipped rolled to reduce shipping size. The two-tone surface is also shown used as a photo/video backdrop.
- The illustrated layer structure is soft PVC / rigid PVC core / soft PVC. Besides cutting, uses shown include punching, model assembly, writing/drawing and as a desk pad.
- Two shipping options are described for A2: a larger envelope with flat shipping, which is pricier; and rolled shipping, cheaper but may cause temporary curling.
- To flatten a rolled mat, the manufacturer suggests pressing it flat in warm water or over a warm radiator for a few minutes, or weighting it down for a few hours. Below 10°C, warming it in a heated room first is recommended. Do not fold the mat, and keep it away from fire and high-temperature objects.
- Set A is shown as an A4 mat + 460 g hammer, Set B as an A5 mat + 460 g hammer. Some variant titles use mm instead of cm; the main size chart and A2 package photos use cm.
