Top-grain full-grain calfskin from the DU PUY plant in France; semi-vegetable-tanned with a firm, embossed-texture surface.
Features
- Initial thickness 1.6–1.8 mm; the embossed pattern is not natural grain. Meant for holding shape, scratch and water resistance; it is lightweight and cleaned with a damp cloth.
- 16 colors: Rose Bois, Gris Tourterelle, Toffee, Jaune de Naples, Trench, Gris Misty, Rose Shocking, Moka, Kiwi, Rouge Casaque, Colvert, Bleu Jean, Noir, Lime, Rose Pourpre, Soleil.
- For wallets, bags, cases, wrist straps and craftwork. 1 piece of leather per package; several orders may be shipped in one package.
- Free thinning: width up to 40 cm, final thickness 0.8 mm and above; stated at order time. Full-hide and other size customization is also available by inquiry.
- Since the leather is cut from a whole hide, minor scratches, scars, natural grain and wrinkles are possible. Monitor/lighting may alter the perceived color; the source suggests contacting them for any quality inconsistency.
- The manufacturer's photo shows that the pattern not being fully embossed at the leather's edge is a normal characteristic. On semi-vegetable-tanned leather, the embossing and coating are noted for firmness/elasticity, shape retention, wear/scratch resistance and water resistance; a matte surface and cleaning with a damp cloth are shown.
