A polished, sharp high-speed-steel tool that creates ear-shaped slots for a cord to pass through.
Features
- Slot width 7/8/9/10 mm. For vegetable-tanned and other leather, thickness under 1 mm is recommended.
- Use a soft anvil/leather pad; hold perpendicular and use a plastic/nylon mallet, avoiding a heavy hammer. Use oil and a protective coating for storage.
- The size chart shows the tool's overall length as 89 mm. A 7/8/9/10 mm four-piece set photo is also shown.
- The pictured instructions use 0.6 mm leather and a 0.3 mm leather strip: the mesh template's marks are transferred to paper, the leather is punched based on the paper, strips are woven, excess is trimmed, and glue is applied before folding. These thicknesses are examples, not a maximum limit.
- One photo states a matching transparent acrylic mesh template is included in the package; the individual 7/8/9/10 mm selection cards state a plastic mesh template is not included. Inclusion of the template does not apply to all options.
