A three-layer cutting/punching mat made of new high-density PVC; approximately 8 mm thick.
Features
- A firm middle core improves stability, aimed at protecting knife and punch tips. Compact, portable construction; stated to not use recycled PVC.
- Non-slip surface with a cm/inch grid on both sides; the lines are printed thin and fade-resistant with German ink.
- For cutting/scoring with a rotary or hand knife, and for use with hollow punches, awls and stitching chisels; used at home, in the office and in studios.
- The self-healing layer is described as closing ordinary cut marks over a few days. Don't tear away the top layer entirely; the source states this extends the knife's usable life.
- Two sizes shown: A5 at 220×150 mm, A4 at 300×220 mm; 1 mat per package. The parameter card gives a range of 7.5–8.5 mm for the nominal 8 mm. Colors are ivory white and dark gray; the front/back markings on this same card are reversed relative to the photo's markers.
- For French stitching chisels, the mat has 11 spacing marks: 1.92–14#, 2.07–13#, 2.25–12#, 2.45–11#, 2.7–10#, 3.0–9#, 3.38–8#, 3.85–7#, 4.5–6#, 5.4–5#, 6.75–4# (mm).
- The self-healing surface graphic recommends not cutting the same spot repeatedly and letting the mat rest between heavy uses; aimed at reducing minor scratches.
