Features
- Black electrolytic coating for rust and wear resistance; the smooth shaft gives grip during repeated strikes. For bags, leather, shoes, hats, belts and DIY patterns; shapes can be combined to create decorative designs.
- Place the tool in position and strike with a hammer or mallet. The source recommends a sturdy wooden table or a marble base thicker than 4 cm with a punching board on top to reduce rebound; it advises against a soft layer like felt underneath.
- Hold the hammer close to the head; if it doesn't punch through on the first strike, apply repeated strikes. A 1–2 mm hand-measurement variance is possible.
- Wipe off the protective oil before first use; when storing, re-oil and keep in a dry, ventilated place.
- Tool length is 99 mm / 3.89 inch, shaft diameter 8 mm / 0.31 inch. Each pattern card shows 1 piece; separate packaging is meant to reduce damage.
- The shaft carries a brand/pattern mark, a wide chip-relief slot, and a flat striking head. Should be struck vertically and steadily; a tilted or wobbly strike is not recommended.
