A vegetable-tanned material called Pueblo, made from natural cowhide; the matte surface develops a patina with use.
Features
- 1.8–2.5 mm / 4.5–6.25 oz, about ±0.2 mm variance by section; less firm, with a distinctive matte/sanded surface. Cut as a half/lengthwise section from a whole hide; since no specific area is chosen, the required length is agreed in advance.
- 14 colors: navy, black, orange, olive green, red, gray, brown, golden brown, coffee tone, yellow, peacock blue, dark green, pink and purple. Free thinning is offered for a final thickness of 1.0 mm and above.
- High oil content; the manufacturer states no additional oiling is required. It smooths, darkens and gains sheen with use/friction. Can be polished with a cotton cloth, and the edge with a wooden slicker.
- For wallets, handbags and other leather goods. Natural grain, wrinkles, scratches/scars and lighting/screen color variance are possible; large custom cuts can be arranged.
- The heading says 5 square feet, while the table text gives an irregular 3 square feet ≈ 2700 cm² per section; the source takes 1 square foot as approximately 900 cm². The sold area should be confirmed with the chosen variant.
- The pictured technical card shows thickness 2.0–2.2 mm, while the product text's 1.8–2.5 mm range is kept as a separate figure. The special sanded/frosted texture is called the Fireworks Effect; the surface lines in the image are part of this texture.
- Because of natural dyeing, slight color transfer is possible on first use; keeping it separate from light-colored fabric is recommended. Color may vary batch to batch. In the photos, New-Black is named as a separate new black tone.
- The manufacturer's saved variants confirm the 5-square-foot section as: thinned to 1.0 / 1.5 / 2.0 mm, or an initial thickness of 1.8–2.5 mm. The product text's table 3-square-foot figure is a separate size note and does not change the current variant's size.
