Solid brass buttons with a colored galvanized finish; each set consists of 2 caps, 1 stud and 1 socket.
Features
- Caps of 8/10/12.5/15 mm; matching punch diameters 2/2.5/3/3.5 mm respectively. Nickel, bronze, gunmetal black, gold, light gold and copper colors.
- For clothing, shirts, jackets, overalls, waist bags, shoes, hats, belts, jeans and leather goods. A punch and a matching setting tool are purchased separately; punch a hole, hammer each side with the tool, seat and join.
- Brass can develop small dark spots/patina when oxidized; the source shows polishing with vinegar. Keep small parts away from children.
- The illustrated chart for the 15/12.5/10/8 mm caps gives the post length including the cap as: 6/6.2/4.6/4.4 mm; post diameter 3/2.8/2.4/2 mm. The matching flat part's diameter is shown as 14/12/10/8 mm.
- For the same 15/12.5/10/8 mm sizes, the postbacked part's cap is 11/11.5/9/7.5 mm, post length including cap 7.6/6.8/5.5/4.5 mm, post diameter 5/3.4/3/2 mm; the matching socket diameter is 11/11/9/7 mm. Hand-measurement variance is about 1 mm.
- The four-piece image separates the cap, the mating stud, the postbacked part and the socket; both leather sides are assembled separately and then joined.
