A highly polished, glossy lock made of pure brass; a three-part construction consisting of the body, lock head and key.
Features
- Brass color; the surface resists fading/peeling and opens and closes easily.
- Push the 4 prongs through the leather and hammer them flat to secure. Place the lock head on the other leather piece and fasten with a screw; align and close the two pieces.
- Push down the release button to disengage. Turning the key 90° clockwise locks it; while locked, the release button cannot be pressed.
- For the assembled lock, the overall size shown is 55 × 47 mm, the top cover width 34 mm, the center piece 20 mm; the key is 30 × 13 mm. For the separated parts, the body is shown as 45 × 47 mm, the cover 20 × 34 mm; the center piece is labeled 21 mm elsewhere. This 20/21 mm discrepancy exists in the source images.
- The illustrated installation shows the four prongs passed through the leather and hammered flat on the back plate, and the opposite cover fastened with a screw to the other leather piece; turning the key 90° clockwise means the button cannot be pressed. This sequence confirms the written instructions.
