- Area is calculated over the entire surface of the irregularly cut piece. Source conversions: 1 sq ft ≈ 900 cm²; 3 sq ft ≈ 2700 cm²; 5 sq ft ≈ 4500 cm². Length-to-width ratio is at most 3:1, e.g. 1:1 or 2:1.
- For a 3:1 cut, only sample dimensions: 1 sq ft ≈ 52 × 17 cm / 20 × 7 in; 3 ≈ 91 × 30 cm / 36 × 12 in; 5 ≈ 118 × 38 cm / 46 × 15 in. A shortfall in one area is compensated in another; keep extra allowance in your cutting plan.
- Since it is cut from whole hide, minor scratches, scars, natural grain and wrinkles are possible. Monitor/light may show a different color; for quality issues and whole-hide or a different size, contact the seller.
- Although the tanning method is listed as chrome, the source's general notes section also mentions suitability for projects requiring vegetable-tanned leather; the product's main process information is chrome tanning.
- The Togo finish describes an irregular pebbled grain and light vertical marks formed by natural drum processing and tumbling. Chrome tanning gives softness, elasticity, a full surface and water resistance; the dense fibers resist wear, and a patina can develop with use.
- Dip dyeing is noted to ensure the color penetrates and is even throughout. The Togo edge is not sealed smooth by ordinary burnishing/polishing; edge paint is required. The back surface is usually lined with an extra piece of leather or fabric for durability and a neat finish.

- The general thickness image shows an initial thickness of 1.8–2.4 mm (4.5–6 oz), with a per-section variance of ±0.2 mm; this does not match this product's own spec of 1.4–1.8 mm.
