Leather Cross Linker X is a fast hardener for polyurethane leather coatings, aimed at jobs requiring high abrasion resistance.
Features
- Add 5–15% to Leather Primer, Leather Colourant or Leather Top Coat and mix well.
- Forms three-dimensional cross-links in the polyurethane dispersion, increasing resistance to abrasion, water, solvents, sweat, grease and oil, improving coat adhesion, and speeding up curing.
- For automotive, furniture, footwear, clothing and accessory leather; not suitable for suede/nubuck.
- Test each product on a small, inconspicuous area before full application.
- Use only with polyurethane coatings; apply the mixture according to the rules of the chosen Primer, Colourant or Top Coat product. Excess hardener can stiffen the coating.
- Dry each coat thoroughly with a household hairdryer; heat initiates and boosts the reaction. Use the prepared mixture within 2 hours.
- Once opened, it reacts quickly with air moisture, so the storage time is limited. The stated shelf life of the product is 6 months; store in a sealed container in a dry, ventilated, sunlight-free place at 5–35°C and no more than 80% humidity.
- The source states toxicity at high concentration: work with gloves and a mask, in a well-ventilated area.
- For maximum strength, X/X Strong is indicated; for a balance of softness, AZ; and for higher water resistance, the Eco option.
