Leather Edge Paint EXPERT LINE Vibrant Plus+ is a water-based polyurethane paint for shaping, repairing and recoloring the cut edge of leather.
Features
- 10 base colours that can be mixed with each other. Dries to a semi-matte edge; high coverage and bonding between coats are designed to build up the edge's shape.
- Suitable for edges on car interiors, furniture, leather footwear, clothing, bags and accessories; not suitable for suede/nubuck.
- Resistant to flexing, water and friction; formulated not to become tacky in hot weather or crack in cold weather.
- Test each product on a small, inconspicuous area before full application.
- Shape the edge of new chrome- or vegetable-tanned leather to a half-round or rectangular profile with an edge beveller. Apply a thin coat with a tip applicator or a brush handle.
- Dry the first coat for 10–20 minutes; apply the next coat to build up the edge's rounded (bead) shape. After the final coat, allow 12 hours for full curing.
- For restoring an old edge, the cracked old coating is removed first, then the same application sequence is used.
