Stitching Punchers For Leather Set consists of two nail-type stitching punches with 6 and 2 prongs.
Features
- Made in Russia from 09G2S (09Г2С) steel; the steel teeth are sharpened and polished, and the shafts are blackened for corrosion resistance. Includes a storage/carrying case.
- Oil periodically and do not store in high humidity. Use a 600–800 g rubber, PVC or caprolon mallet; a metal-head hammer is prohibited.
- Place a thick PVC or caprolon board directly under the leather; do not use a thin cutting mat, wood/plywood, stone or metal directly as a base. A stone/metal plate under the punching board is recommended to absorb impact energy.
- Do not pick leather out of the teeth with an awl/needle or burn it off with a flame. Dipping the teeth in wax before use and periodically thereafter makes punching easier and helps clear debris.
