Leather Liquid Degreaser is a volatile, clear professional liquid that removes oil, grease and sweat stains from leather; also applicable to hardened chewing-gum residue.
Features
- For furniture, car interiors, garments, footwear, bags and equestrian gear, for marks from hand/head grease, oily garment parts, food oil and air freshener; the source states suitability for leather of various colors and textures.
- Test each component on a small, inconspicuous area before full application.
- Clean first with Ultimate Cleaner. Soak a Terry Towel or another dense cloth with the product and wipe with light pressure to lift the oil.
- For long-standing oil, gently heat and knead the area with a household hair dryer; then soak generously with the product and wipe with a blotting motion using a cloth. Repeat as needed until the stain is gone.
- To check for remaining oil, apply a thin layer of Leather Degreaser gel with a brush and let dry 20–30 minutes. If it stays fully white, the oil has been removed; then clean again with Ultimate Cleaner. Bicast leather can become sticky from reacting with the gel.
- Depending on leather type, color renewal with Re-Colouring Balm or Colour Restorer may be needed. Apply Protection Cream or Lotion every 3 months.
- An old stain may require repeat treatment or later restoration; a conditioner or protective product is recommended afterward. A suitable specialized product should be chosen for delicate, napped leather.
