Leather Cross Linker X Strong is a fast, extra-strength hardener for polyurethane coatings, aimed at automotive leather and high abrasion loads.
Features
- Add 3–10% to Leather Primer, Leather Colourant or Leather Top Coat and mix well.
- Creates three-dimensional crosslinks in the polyurethane dispersion, increasing resistance to abrasion, water, solvents, sweat, fat and oil, improving layer adhesion, and speeding up polymerization.
- For car, furniture, footwear, garment and accessory leather; not suitable for suede/nubuck.
- Test each component on a small, inconspicuous area before full application.
- Use only with polyurethane coatings; apply the mixture according to the rules of the chosen Primer, Colourant or Top Coat product. Excess hardener can over-harden the coating.
- Dry each coat well with a household hair dryer; heat starts and strengthens the reaction. Use the prepared mixture within 2 hours.
- Once opened, shelf life is limited because it reacts quickly with air moisture. The stated product shelf life is 6 months; store in a sealed container, in a dry, ventilated, sunless place at 5–35°C and no more than 80% humidity.
- The source states high toxicity at concentration: work with gloves and a mask, in a well-ventilated space.
- For maximum strength, X/X Strong is indicated; for a softness balance, AZ; for higher water resistance, the Eco option is indicated.
