Leather Colour Restorer Russet — a ready-to-use leather restoration dye in russet, available as a kit option.
Features
- A self-crosslinking polyurethane-based ready-made compound combines an adhesion component, paint, top coat and texture modifiers; it is designed to bond without a separate hardener or lacquer.
- For color restoration of painted natural leather, vinyl and eco-leather, minor scratch/rub repair, quick repairs and custom coloring. Indicated for car interiors, furniture, footwear, garments and accessories.
- The paint is available separately or as a kit. The kit includes a Leather Colour Restorer in the chosen color, a 28 × 28 cm Leather Cleaning Wipe, a 28 × 28 cm heavy-duty stain/grease-removal wipe, and 5 application sponges.
- Estimated consumption for painting one car seat is 60 ml. It is formulated to preserve elasticity and texture and to provide resistance to temperature and abrasion so the color does not wash out or crack.
- Color: Russet / Red-brown. The manufacturer's page gives the matching reference as RAL 4002 Red violet; on-screen color may vary. For an exact color, using the RAL code and custom mixing as the basis is recommended.
- Not suitable on its own for structural repair of complex peeling, tears, layer marks or cracks; based on experience, additional Leather Light Filler and Heavy Filler are required.
- Test compatibility on a small, inconspicuous area before full application.
- First clean and degrease the surface. For repairing minor damage and restoring color; a car seat, armrest and steering wheel are also example applications.
- Colors can be mixed to get closer to the exact shade; if the color code is unknown for spot painting, custom color matching is recommended.
- Depending on layer thickness and conditions, the surface begins to dry in 15–30 minutes; full curing takes 24–48 hours depending on the area and item.
- The 'Russet' heading indicates a red-brown color, but the kit contents and RAL paragraph state Amaranth / amarant and RAL 4002; there is a color inconsistency in the source.
