Leather MATT X2 HyperMatt+SoftTouch is a deep matte, soft and elastic protective top coat; the source states it retains its matte finish without gloss during use.
Features
- For automotive, leather furniture, footwear, clothing, accessories and vegetable-tanned leather; not suitable for suede/nubuck.
- Creates a coating resistant to wear, scratches, moisture and solvents; designed to preserve color and softness. Used from minor steering-wheel/gear-lever repairs up to full coloring.
- Used with Cross Linker X: added to the top coat at 5–10% of the total volume.
- LeTech top coats can be mixed with each other to achieve the desired level of sheen.
- Test each product on a small, inconspicuous area before full application.
- Clean the surface with Leather Ultimate Cleaner; remove heavy grease stains first with Leather Degreaser. Then degrease with Leather Alcohol Cleaner or Leather Liquid Degreaser.
- Remove a damaged, weak old coating with Solvent Cleaner or Leather Prep; add Cross Linker X at 5–10% of the total volume to the Leather Primer base coat and apply it.
- Shake and mix the dye and pass it through a 190-micrometer filter; spray thin coats using compressed air free of water and oil. For the dye, a nozzle of 0.5–1.2 mm is indicated, with pressure of 1.1–8 bar depending on the equipment; thinning with distilled water is permitted.
- For small local touch-ups, a base coat, and color restoration, the dye can also be applied with a sponge, brush or roller.
- Compatible additives: Leather Slip Additive, Leather Non-Slip/Wax-Effect Additive, Leather X-GUARD Additive, Leather Casein Additive and Leather Thickening Agent.
- After repair and coloring, apply the top coat thinly and evenly with an airbrush/spray gun; a thick coat can alter the color and stiffen the leather.
- Drying depends on temperature and humidity: careful use is possible after 2–3 hours, with full curing in 8–12 hours. Do not apply cleaning or care products during the first week.
- After work, clean tools with water, or with Leather Prep if needed.
