Leather Primer is a water-based, clear, soft adhesion primer; it improves dye bonding to leather and helps fill fine wrinkles.
Features
- For automotive, furniture, footwear, clothing and accessory leather, synthetic leather, plastic and vinyl; not suitable for suede and nubuck. Applied to load-bearing parts such as an armrest.
- Test each product on a small, inconspicuous area before full application.
- Clean with Ultimate Cleaner; for deep grease use Degreaser, then Alcohol Cleaner or Liquid Degreaser.
- Add Cross Linker X at 5–15% of the Primer's volume. Apply the base coat with a sponge and dry with warm air.
- Using an airbrush, apply two coats — one vertical, one horizontal — then two diagonal coats; dry each coat separately. Coloring can begin almost immediately after priming.
- This Primer's page states a 3-hour pot life for the prepared mixture; Cross Linker X's separate page states 2 hours. Clean tools with water or Leather Prep.
