Leather Grain Copying Set is a two-component kit for making a reusable elastic mold from the texture of finished leather and interior plastic.
Features
- Included: Leather Grain Copier and the Leather Grain Copier Gun, which doses the components and mixes them automatically at the nozzle. Palette Knife and Vinyl & Leather Weld for repairing the damage are sold separately.
- For texture repair of car seats, steering wheels, gear levers and door panels; sofas, armchairs, poufs and couches; bags, wallets, belts and briefcases; leather jackets, gloves and boots.
- Test every formula on a small, inconspicuous area before full application.
- Work in a well-ventilated area; check compatibility on a donor sample. Fit the cartridge firmly all the way into the gun.
- Choose a clean, dry and undamaged donor area. Load the Leather Grain Copier cartridge into the matching gun and fit the mixing nozzle; dispense the two components in equal amounts and mix them.
- Dispense a small amount onto the donor leather/plastic and spread it quickly, thinly and evenly with a spatula. A thin layer sets faster; full curing takes 1–5 minutes.
- Carefully lift it from the edge to obtain a negative mould of the original texture. Press the mould onto the Vinyl & Leather Weld applied over the damage to transfer the texture; it can be reused multiple times on the same type of surface.
- Before starting work, check that the equipment is properly set up and undamaged; follow the manufacturer's instructions and safety rules.
