The Mini Scales Series 500 is a desktop electronic scale for recording color formulas and weighing and mixing components.
Features
- Maximum load 500 g; dimensions 12 × 6.4 × 2 cm. The set includes 1 scale and 2 AAA (R03) batteries.
- The source lists the accuracy as "one hundredth of a milligram" and the device's own weight as "0.150 gram"; both figures require separate technical confirmation.
- ON/OFF turns the unit on and off, UNITS changes the measurement unit, TARE zeroes out the container weight, PCS counts pieces, and LIGHT toggles the display backlight.
- Place on a flat, level, vibration-free surface; when switched on, wait for a stable 0.0 reading and position the load in the centre. To subtract the container weight, place the empty container on the scale, press TARE, and wait for zero.
- Counting: hold PCS for 2 seconds; use UNITS to select a sample size of 25, 50, 75 or 100, place that number of samples and confirm with PCS. After removing the sample, place the pieces to be counted in the centre.
- Calibration: hold UNITS until CAL appears, press UNITS again, place the indicated weight and wait 3–4 seconds for PASS. Remove the weight and switch off; if FAIL appears, repeat the process. The scale is factory-calibrated and should be recalibrated in case of doubt or a change in temperature.
- Before use, allow it to acclimatise at room temperature for at least 1 hour; leave it switched on for 30–60 seconds before calibrating.
- Do not exceed the 500 g limit; dust, dirt, humidity, air currents, vibration and nearby electronic devices can affect the reading. Protect it from impact, dropping, hard key presses and rough loading.
- Before starting work, check that the equipment is properly set up and undamaged; follow the manufacturer's instructions and safety rules.
