Leather Thickening Agent is a synthetic polyurethane-based additive that increases the viscosity of water-based polyurethane dyes, topcoats, and restoration compounds.
Features
- Added at 1–5% by volume to Leather Colourant, Leather Top Coat, Heavy Filler and Light Filler. Ready to use, no pre-dilution needed; mix well and increase gradually in small doses.
- Excessive addition can make the formula too thick. Designed to reduce running and spattering on vertical surfaces.
- Formulated not to alter color, transparency, drying time or inter-coat adhesion. Can be used with the Gloss topcoat to achieve high shine when restoring patent leather footwear.
- Test every formula on a small, inconspicuous area before full application.
