The Hobart WastePro 1260 is a kitchen waste system that processes food, paper, plastic, and Styrofoam® waste using a pulper (grinding tank) and a water press; waste is pulped with water, the water press extracts the water, and the semi-dry pulp is discharged into a container while the water is recirculated. It is offered in side-by-side WPS-1260 (close-coupled) and remote water-press WPR-1260 configurations, in undercounter and freestanding versions. The system processes up to 1,250 lb of waste per hour (the manufacturer's website lists 1,250–3,000 lb/hour across the system range).
