The ht 150 SCD:2019 is a test device for determining seam strength in sealable pouches and reels (SBS); it is used for PQ during initial and re-validation as well as for daily checks. A 15 mm wide sample is cut at a 90° angle to the seam with a built-in guillotine and peeled at a controlled speed of 200 mm/min; the force curve and maximum force are recorded. The test program, updated since 2019, complies with the requirements of EN 868-5.
