COLOURLOCK Leather Wash Set
Leather and fur wash set
Brand: COLOURLOCK
A fixative/wash kit for setting the color of leather garments and accessories before washing and for gentle washing.

Features
- Contents: 100 ml Leather Fixative; 250 ml Leather & Fur Wash Concentrate; 1 brown Leather Cleaning Brush; instructions.
- Fixative is used on multi-colored leather, leather-textile combinations and dark leather/light lining combinations to reduce color bleeding. Same-color or black lining usually does not need fixing.
- Wash items of the same color together. Soak oily collar, cuff and collar lining areas first in a hand bath and work with a detergent/soft brush. Reinforce loose buttons and trims, or wash by hand.
- Washing can make old wear/fading more visible; weakly bonded color and oily surfaces can change. Dyed fur linings can become stiff after washing — test a small area first. Professional cleaning is recommended for exotic, delicate-tanned, fur and antique one-off items.
- Fixative is used only in a basin/tub, never poured into the machine. For a single item, mix half a bottle into about 5–10 l of hand-warm water; for a full motorcycle suit, use the whole bottle. Submerge fully and soak for at least 60 minutes, moving occasionally. Drain and put into the washing machine without rinsing.
- If rubbing a damp light-colored cloth on an inconspicuous area shows color transfer, Fixative is needed. If the fixative bath does not become colored, it may not be needed for the next wash.
- Hand washing is indicated for smooth/napped leather and fur, while open-pored leather is excluded. Use 1/3–1/2 of a bottle in 10–15 l of hand-warm water, max 35°C; use the whole bottle for a large coat/motorcycle suit. Soak for about 30 minutes and wash gently, using a brush on heavy dirt.
- Rinse briefly once with clean water; do not rinse out completely, as the remaining softness helps. For local surface cleaning, mix a little detergent with water, brush it in, and remove residue with a damp cloth.
- In the machine, use a wool/delicate program, max 35°C; add 1/3–1/2 bottle to the main wash compartment by size, the whole bottle for a large item. Use only a short spin, or remove before the spin cycle if possible. Leather-textile combinations are also indicated.
- Shake out the wrinkles and air-dry; lay heavy items flat over a towel. Do not use a heated dryer or direct sunlight; drying can take days. Knead repeatedly while still slightly damp, and rub lengthwise/crosswise once fully dry.
- Alternative final softening: tumble the turned-inside-out item in the dryer on a heat-free, cool setting for 15–30 minutes. Brush nubuck/suede after drying.
