COLOURLOCK Leather Steering Wheel Set
Restoration set for black steering-wheel leather
Brand: COLOURLOCK
A guided set for renewing the color and top coat of a worn, scratched black steering wheel.

Features
- Contents: Leather Cleaner mild, Leather Shield, Leather Fresh and Degreaser — 100 ml each; 15 ml Elephant Leather Preserver; 1 Foamer Bottle; 1 Sanding Pad; 2 Viscose Cloths; 3 Cleaning & Application Sponges small; 2 nitrile gloves.
- Test all products first on a small, inconspicuous area.
- Wear suitable protective gloves at every stage.
- Pour all of the Leather Cleaner mild into the empty Foamer Bottle. Apply the foam to the sponge, not directly onto the leather. Clean seam to seam, remove dirt/cleaner residue with a slightly damp cloth from the set and dry completely; repeat if necessary.
- Carefully smooth the rough area with the Sanding Pad. Apply a few drops of Degreaser to a cloth and wipe evenly, letting it evaporate well. If tape sticks firmly to the surface, the source suggests a tape test to check the prep is sufficient.
- Shake the Leather Fresh and apply it with a sponge using dabbing motions, seam to seam; do not pour it directly onto the leather. Only work the areas needing color renewal, drying each of several thin coats with a hairdryer. Then wait 24 hours for full drying.
- For small-area color renewal; work carefully around differently colored seams. Can also be applied to imitation leather and plastic. Uneven color can be carefully smoothed with a sanding pad and re-dyed.
- If an old steering wheel needs re-oiling, apply Elephant Leather Preserver to a cloth and spread evenly without pressure, leave overnight; polish well in the morning to restore grip. If re-oiling is not needed, skip this step.
- Before applying protection, the surface should be dry, clean and residue-free for at least 24 hours. Apply a few drops of Shield with a sponge, thinly, without heavy rubbing; usually one coat, repeat only on very sensitive/absorbent leather, and dry with a hairdryer.
- Care every 3 months under heavy load such as sun, heaters and frequent use, or every 6–12 months under normal use.
- The ingredient list gives 2 Viscose Cloths, while the oiling instructions mention a third cloth; an extra cloth may be needed.
